Speakers: Markus Goebel, Director OSE Immunotherapeutics ; Daan Kok, Head of BD and strategy, Hemanext ; Seng Chin Mah, Chairman of the board, BioVersys AG
Synopsis: Drug development is often portrayed as a story of scientific progress and eventual success. Yet, behind every approved therapy lies a history of failures, delays, and hard-earned lessons. This panel will explore the hidden wisdom gained from setbacks across the drug development ecosystem—from biotech start-ups to CROs, big pharma, and venture capital.
By examining the challenges in human capital, clinical development, indication strategy, target product profiles (TPPs), and resource allocation, we aim to uncover the mistakes that shaped better decisions, the false starts that redirected strategy, and the enduring blind spots the industry still struggles with.
This candid and authentic discussion will reveal how organizations at different stages of the value chain perceive and respond to setbacks, and how these experiences can be turned into strategic advantages for the future of innovation.
